“The Bird-man Movement Team collaborating under ground and over oceans, to wind or music.” is the name of the new 4 song 7″ e.p. by my band iji. This is the bands first release with new seattle record label OFFT EMPO. We are super excited to be putting this one out there. Recorded after “Cool Dream” but before the to be released full length “Yerself”.

“Bird-Man Movement Team” documents some new sounds and styles we have been experimenting with. Each song features vastly different vibes and textures, from the electro-funk feeling of the song “Viber”, not unlike my recent side project release “Zachary David Jammin Get Free All The Time”, to the noisy live goof-ball breakdown in the the albums last song “Whatever”. One idea that brings these songs together is the idea of using the Bass Guitar as the featured instrument throughout. Most prominent on the intro of “Wavy One” which happens to be about my two best friends and band members Erin Birgy (Mega Bog) and Shelby Turner (Sundance Kids). Singing some new songs, feeling some new feelings. I hope you love this because I had so much fun making it!”
